Jamboree 2017 in Eureka was a spectacular weekend with a lot of 'District' attendees.
All 9 Lodges participated in a Steak Dinner on the Grill & Dancing, a killer Chowder Cook-Off (clam, seafood, veggie and albacore chowder - Elks can cook!), and a Hawaiian style dinner. And, importantly, we raised ~$5,000 for the District Jamboree Fund.
Jamboree funds are used in many of our District projects - District Scholarship programs, the Americanism Essay, National Veterans programs, and District training events are among the many programs funded by the weekend.
Final results are not in yet, however, it looks like the Lodges hit around $5,000 and Lodge 1108 raised $1,200 with the raffling of our Jamboree Basket. And we had 2 raffle winners from our Lodge.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and made the journey up to Eureka for a fabulous weekend!
