2024 Rose Parade Float - Elk Veterans! Apply by Aug 4th

Seeking six members (Veteran or Active) of the Elks torepresent Elkdom and the six branches of our military (Army, Marine Corp, Navy,Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard) to ride on the 2024 Elks USA Float inthe Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.
Float riders usually arrive on Saturday afternoon, December30, 2023 and stay at the Embassy Suites in Arcadia. On Sunday about 9:00 a.m., arrive inIrwindale and be on the float in military dress uniform while the float and ridersare judged by The Tournament of Roses Parade Committee.
On Monday, about 5:00 a.m., January 1, 2024, depart thehotel in military dress uniform for transportation to the Elks Float on OrangeGrove Boulevard in Pasadena. The paradebegins at 8:00 a.m., lasts about 2 ½ hours, and ends on Sierra Madre Boulevardwhere the riders are picked up and returned to the Embassy Suites. Tuesday, depart for home.
Members Interested (Veteran or Active): Submit acurrent color photo in your military dress uniform along with a brief resume toyour Association President and Sponsor(s) for consideration by August 4, 2023. All submissions for float riders will then be submitted by email to chea@chea-elks.org for processing byAugust 11, 2023. All submissions will be reviewedby the Grand Lodge Selection Committee and the six riders and their Sponsorswill be notified shortly thereafter.
Depending on where you reside, the estimate cost toparticipate is about $2,500 to $3,000 for flights, transportation, meals andlodging. Once the selection of the riders is made, your Lodge, District, or Association would have three to fourmonths to assist in raising the necessary funds.
