Through ENF Community Impact Grants, the San Rafael Elks sponsor a county-wide music program. We fundraise to purchase classroom sets of Ukuleles for K-8 students. In addition, we provide teacher training sessions to prepare the music teachers how to teach current and relevant curriculum at their individual schools. To date we have provided complete classroom sets for 8 Marin Schools. We hope to continue this project with donations from members and friends.
Ukulele Friends of Ohana
This is a regular group that plays at the Lodge on the 2nd Friday of each month. They inspire new players to join in, spread great music throughout the room, and bring the Hawaii'an culture a little closer in San Rafael.
